Description
Bacteriological incubators are insulated boxes with an adjustable heater, typically going up to 60 to 65 °C. The most commonly used temperature both for bacteria such as the frequently used E. coli as well as mammalian cells is approximately 37 °C, as these organisms grow well under such conditions. For the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a growth temperature of 30 °C is optimal.
Double door, with glass window. Inner chamber of anodised aluminium/stainless steel sheet. Double walled in construction, highly insulated between two walls by high quality glass wool. Interior of aluminium or stainless steel having buffed finish. Exterior of mild steel duly finished in powder coated shade or stainless steel matt finish.
A fully insulated door with sturdy stainless steel hinges. Selection of temperature controller: thermostatic or PID controller.
